Mod List

This page contains a list of mods I use in this gameplay. I am open to WCIF messages for mods/CC, so if you see something in my game and would like to know where it’s from, I will gladly share.

Apartments & Renting

  • Apartment Event Odds by Kuttoe ~ This mod reduces the frequency of some of the more irritating events as well as making some of them make a little more sense.
  • Apartment Rent Modifiers by Kuttoe ~ This mod changes some of the rules to define how much rent a unit is worth based on where it is, what lots traits it has and some other environmental factors.

Celebrities & Fame

  • Award Tweaks by Ilkavelle ~ This is a wonderful mod by one of my favourite simmers. It adds more awards to the Starlight Accolade awards among 9 new categories, as well as enabling you to nominate Sims for awards or Celebrity Tiles.
  • Celebrity System by KiaraSims4 ~ This one’s been a favourite of mine for a while now. It takes elements from the Sims 3 celebrity system, such as being publicly disgraced and suing for slander and adds them to Sims 4.

Dining & Shopping

  • Retail Reloaded by Carl ~ This improves retail lots, particularly if your Sim owns one. Lots of improvements in this mod.
  • Dine Out Reloaded by Carl ~ If you want your Sims who own a restaurant to work in the restaurant, then you NEED this mod. Like Carl’s Retail mod, this has lots of little features that overall improve gameplay around restaurants.
  • Lively Towns by ChippedSim ~ This mod adds three new registers to add to any lot and they will spawn an NPC, thus allowing you to have multi-purpose lots.
  • Bartenders Everywhere by Kuttoe ~ I use this to have more than one bar and bartender on a lot but it’s also useful for multi-purpose lots, so it’s definitely worth checking out!
  • Marketstalls Everywhere by Kuttoe ~ Like the Bartenders mod, this allows vendors to appear at marketstalls on any lot. Up to two vendors will appear which allows for busier community lots!
  • Cafeterias Everywhere by Kuttoe ~ This mod lets you add the cafeteria items from High School Years or Discover University to more lots and will spawn a vendor to work there.
  • Baristas Everywhere by Kuttoe ~ Using the cafe items from Get Together, this mod allows you to add these bars to more lots and spawn vendors to work there.
  • Plan Wedding Outfits On Mannequins by MissyHissy ~ Enables the ability to plan wedding outfits on the mannequins from Get To Work, which allows for working bridal shops.
  • Wedding Dinners In Restaurants by MissyHissy ~ Allows Sims to host Engagement Dinners and Rehearsal Dinners in restaurants.

Education & Work

  • School Tweaks by ChippedSim ~ This mod makes several improvements to the active classes and includes some consequences for not paying attention in class!
  • High School More Classmates by Aramiteus ~ This lets you create up to 4 classes and assign specific Sims to the school and each class. A very lovely mod for controlling which teens turn up at school.
  • Career Day Overhaul by Ilkavelle ~ This overhauls the Career Day event to make it more useful. Many more careers are featured now, as well as 3 more stands and the ability to learn more about careers.
  • Reapply To University Earlier by Ilkavelle ~ This mod does away with the cooldown for Sims reapplying to University.
  • University Rejection Letter by Ilkavelle ~ This actually enables Sims to be rejected from University and is based on skills, school grades, traits and traits from completing High School.
  • Custom Degrees by Zer0 ~ This adds 25 new degrees to the game, as well as an optional file for increasing the cost of degrees.
  • Custom Electives by Andirz ~ This adds a range of custom skills and skills from newer packs to the list of custom electives your Sims can choose from.
  • Drama Degree Is Acting by Andirz ~ Lets Sims learn the Acting skill when studying Drama at University
  • Career Aptitude Test by Ilkavelle ~ This lets teens and upward take a career aptitude test on the computer, to help determine what careers they’re suitable for.
  • Job Finding by Zer0 ~ This mod allows Sims to actually search for and apply for jobs instead of joining them instantly.
  • Careers Rework & Banking by Zer0 ~ This overhauls the careers and adds the requirement for experience at the job in order to be promoted. It also adds a small banking system to allow for taking out loans and opening savings accounts.

Family & Parenting

  • Parenthood Hard Mode by Kuttoe ~ This mod makes it so children, starting with toddlers, all begin with their character values in the red so you have to actually raise the children to get them into positive values.
  • Family History Mod by Simsonian Library ~ Allows Sims to research their imagined geneaology and learn about historical ancestors.
  • Toddler Conversation Expander by SHEnanigans/MissyHissy ~ Gives moodlets and notifications to expand interactions with toddlers.

Hobbies & Skills

  • The Hobby Mod by MissyHissy ~ This mod adds a hobby system with 14 traits to define Sims hobbies and control wants and autonomy.
  • Realistic Swimming by Ilkavelle ~ This mod separates swimming from the fitness skill and means your Sims actually need to learn to swim.
  • Purchase Jewelry on Phones by Rex/konansock ~ With this mod, you can buy jewellery on the phone as well as design custom jewellery with stones and gems in your Sim’s inventory.
  • Archaeology Kit by Simsonian Library ~ Allows digspots in all worlds, as well as adding unique artefacts related to those worlds.
  • Flowfit by SimRealist ~ Improves fitness and adds a range of new workout equipment.

Life And Social

  • First Impressions by Lumpinou ~ A very straightforward mod that adds sentiments for first impressions when your Sim meets another Sim. This can alter how Sims react to one another.
  • Chat Pack by NateTheL0ser ~ One of my favourite mods, Chat Pack adds several new social interactions, including some nagging between parents and their offspring.
  • Milestones by NateTheL0ser ~ Not to be confused with the Milestone feature from Growing Together, this mod adds moodlets for situations such as teething for toddlers, puberty for teens, midlife crisis and menopause and so on.
  • Custom Milestones for Nate’s mods by NateTheL0ser ~ This adds milestones for many of Nate’s mods.
  • Teenage Interaction Reactions by MissyHissy ~ Adds more moodlets, notifications and sentiments to several interactions for teenagers and makes them a little more lively.
  • High School Years Tweaks by MissyHissy ~ A selection of mods to improve small aspects of High School Years, from Forming Groups In School to disabling the deaths from that pack.
  • The Milestone Mod by MissyHissy ~ This adds more milestones to the game for packs such as Vampires and Get Famous.

Occults

  • Secret Occults by JaneSimsten ~ A great mod for enabling occults to be secrets to be discovered.
  • Occult: Lore & Order by MissyHissy ~ This mod adds much of the Lore from the Werewolves pack to be discoverable by Spellcasters and Vampires as well.

Romance

Wants & Fears

  • The Custom Wants Mod by MissyHissy ~ Adds more than 50 custom wants for a range of packs.
  • The Hopes & Fears Mod by MissyHissy ~ This mod overhauls the whimsets, fears, satisfaction and fulfillment for Sims to give more meaning to Wants and Fears. It also adds some new Fears.

Miscellaneous

  • Club Activities by Rex/konansock ~ Adds many more activities for the club system.
  • More Children At Parks by Bienchen ~ Enables children and toddlers to spawn at parks and other venues.
  • The Personality Mod by MissyHissy ~ Adds six new traits inspired by Sims 2 Aspirations to better guide wants.
