Round #4 ~ Stilton

Spring, Week 1, Year 3

Now for a week with Francis Stilton!

With spring fast approaching, I wanted to have a little fun with the remaining snow. After all, who says you have to be a child or have a child to have fun in the snow?
I was in William’s neighbourhood and I must admit I was rather hoping to catch a glimpse of the newest resident. Stella’s big in programming, which is what I’m currently specialising in and I was hoping to have a little chat with her. Alas, it was not to be.

I also finished my contribution towards the museum. 10 excellent quality sculptures for the exhibition they’ll be having on the founders. Isn’t that exciting?

Gameplay Note: To unlock the Art Gallery/Museum, I need 10 masterpiece paintings and 10 excellent quality sculptures. However for Beckwell, I’m also adding the requirement of having a portrait painted of each founder member.

The first day of spring is also Beckwell Day. It’s a holiday George decided would be a good idea, to commemorate our arrival and the roots of Beckwell as we, and our future generations, know it. So this year, I hosted a small gathering for the current residents of Beckwell. It meant I finally had the chance to meet Stella. Talking to her was delightful, we have such a lot in common.

The day after, I invited William round for a much needed break and a talk. I’d always felt I could tell William anything and I think this might be the opportunity.
“The party was good last night, Francis,” William remarked, glancing at his cards.
“It wasn’t bad, was it? Ally thought I’d be hopeless, hosting the Beckwell Day party. I’m glad I proved her wrong!” I replied. “Incidentally, Will? Have you met your new neighbour yet?”
“Who, Stella? Yeah, I met her briefly a couple of weeks ago. She seems nice. We didn’t see much of her at Christmas but we went to her Spooky Day party. Why do you ask?”
“I just wondered. She’s in programming, isn’t she?”
“Web design mostly, I think. She made some big online retail webpage a couple of weeks ago. Earned a good bit on it, I think she said.” William frowned at the board. “Francis, I think you’re the murderer again.”

I don’t think I had much luck getting Stella to notice me. I even got myself a job as a live chat support agent to try and attract her attention but no luck so far.
I did, however, meet a very nice lady at work. Antonia Simpkins. She seems very nice and she’s come round a few times after work. We usually have a good chat but only ever about work. She’s pretty, though. William thinks I ought to ask her out on Love Day.

I don’t normally take chances but this Love Day, I will ask her out. William’s right, I’ve been alone for quite some time now and it would be lovely to settle down eventually. So tonight, after work, I’m going to invite Antonia over and we’ll see what happens!

I bought flowers for Antonia on my way home from work. Strangely enough, she seemed to have bought some for me, too. The message with them was rather peculiar, for someone who seemed to find me so boring a few days ago. Still, she seems interested which can only be a good thing.

The night went very well. Both Antonia and I would like to give a relationship a try. We’ve known each other for a short while only through work but she has changed my life. I think it’s worth the risk, like William said it would be.

How on earth did Alexandra know about Antonia? William would never have told her, they don’t get along very well. She assures me that as the Duchess, she knows everything. I’m beginning to believe it’s true.
Well, I’m going to tread carefully here. Unlike my sister, I don’t take chances easily and my future is important to me; but I look forward to it very much.

Summary:

Francis achieved level 6 Programming and level 4 Video Gaming and as such, didn’t unlock anything this week.
